Margaret Muller
20 May 1975 - 3 February 2003

On 3 February 2003, Margaret Caroline Muller was murdered in London's Victoria Park. Her family and friends grieve the loss of a fine and talented friend who had so much to live for.

Margaret Muller was jogging along a pathway between the Rose Gardens and the children's playground when she was attacked and stabbed numerous times with a knife. Several people nearby who heard her screams came to the site where she lay. She died shortly thereafter. This happened around 8:30 AM in broad daylight.

Anniversary Appeal for Information to Catch Margaret's Killer
On 3 February 2004, the London Met Police will be conducting an Anniversary Appeal in Victoria Park for information regarding the attack on Margaret. They have set up a web page describing the event at http://www.met.police.uk/news/stories/muller.htm. In addition to the description of the 3 February 2004 event, some information about investigation, it's current status, and related events are provided. Please take a moment to view that site.

A police investigation into the murder is ongoing. The London Met Police are offering a £15,000 Reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the attack.

This site contains original art by Margaret Muller. On display are paintings created from 1995 to 2002. Figure paintings from 1998 to 2001 were made in the Life Room of the Slade School of Fine Art at the University College London under the tutelage of Norman Norris, Euan Uglow, Andrew Pankhurst and Jenny Saville. Portrait paintings during this period are the result of self-directed studies outside of the Life Room.
Earlier works were made in the studios of the Art and Visual Technologies department of George Mason University under the guidance of Margarida Kendall. Paintings are aggregated by thematic content into seven categories shown below.
